Like Stonehenge, this ancient site was constructed by mysterious people who left no written records.
Though the identity of its builders is a mystery, bas-relief carvings found near the site indicate it was used for ritual sacrifice of sheep, goats, and even humans, with the offering to the "gods" deposited in the pit at the end of the ceremony.
Carvings indicate the race living here pictured their gods as horrific, mis-shapen creatures, often shown with gaping tooth-filled maws, tentacles, and eyestalks.
Today, it serves as picnic grounds and play area for our visitors. Relax in the cool shade of ancient mysteries or explore the desolate terrain these people called home before they mysteriously vanished.
