Monday, September 30:
Emerged from my nymph-stage exoskeleton about 9:00 a.m. and got my first look at the world. All I can say is, "Wow!" Beautiful blue sky, fluffy white clouds, verdant foliage bursting with flowers of every shade imaginable… I can’t wait to explore it all!
Spent a minute or two drying off and stretching my wings, then a quick jaunt to the stationer’s shop to pick up this diary. I’ll try to write every day!
After lunch, I swarmed a bit, and mated some. Late afternoon and evening was mostly funerals. I’m really going to miss Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad, Great Aunt Louise, Aunt Julie, Aunt Patrice, Uncle Robert, Aunt Mary and Uncle Winston. At least they died peacefully of old age, instead of being eaten by fish like Grams and Poppa, Uncle Tommy, Uncle Joe, Aunt Susan, and my brother Johnny.
Well, guess it’s off to bed. Sleep tight, diary, and I’ll see you in the morning!
Tuesday, October 1:
Woke up feeling crappy. So very, very tired….
