North American Import & Export

05 28 2008

These guys distribute foodstuffs to restaurants nation-wide. And not just any foodstuffs — their foodstuffs are the coolest, most interesting foodstuffs around.

North American Import Export

Though deadline and budget (but mostly Internet Explorer 6) necessitated a hack or two (or three or…), this is almost certainly the leanest, prettiest code I’ve ever produced for a project of this scale. Nobody except web-folk understand, but the code behind this site is, on average, only 20% of the weight of their previous incarnation while incorporating much more content per page.

Another Couple of Websites

04 05 2008

Here’s what I’ve been doing for the last couple of weeks… making websites! Surprise, surprise, surprise! Anyhow, here’s a couple of things that launched recently. The first is a brand spanking new site; the second is a long overdue redesign.

A site promoting a documentary about legendary baseball pitcher Bill Lee, aka The Spaceman.

A site for a one-of-a-kind awards show honoring the best of the great in the field of celebrity impersonation.

More Websites…

Here’s what I’ve been up to lately.

David Tucker, L.Ac, LMP • David is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage practitioner. He did his TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) training, receiving his Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University and his massage training through the Brenneke School of Massage.

Le Québécois All Natural Grain-fed Veal • Le Québécois calves are raised on a natural diet of corn, whole grains, milk-formula, and fresh water. This diet gives Le Québécois Grain-fed veal a pure and natural taste. Le Québécois farmers follow a strict animal welfare code. Their calves are raised in multi-animal corrals with excellent air circulation, natural sunlight and temperature control.

Marx Foods Blog • Until 2007, our only customers were about 400 of the top restaurant chefs in the country (traditionally, we’re a boutique high-end restaurant distributor). Now, home chefs like you can buy the finest and freshest foods just like the pro chefs who are driving food trends. Our goal is to supply you with the ingredients to make memorable dining experiences… in your own home.

Die Fledermaus

02 15 2008

Here’s a new website I designed & built recently for a “Chambergrass” duo called Die Fledermaus, featuring Ben Newton on banjo and/or ukulele and Dan Yost on guitar and/or piano (with micellaneous other instruments tossed into the mix here and there). It’s not entirely done yet, but it’s getting close so check it out!
