Woolly Mammoths

This is another picture done up for a British Columbia tourism video. Apparently, there used to be some of those up in Canada during the Ice Age. Good times!

Here are two versions of the “Cadborosaurus” cryptid that supposedly swims through Cadboro Bay in Victoria, British Columbia. To my mind, one of these is bad-ass and one is lame. The lame one was chosen for the project (a tourism video) because supposedly it’s “more accurate” to the description of the beastie.
But I ask you: Is “Inglorious Basterds” nominated for an Oscar™ this year because it’s accurate or because it’s bad-ass?

Totally bad-ass version

“Sleeker, more eel-like” (i.e. lame) version that Ernesto Lopez correctly described as “orca bait”
And here’s a side view of the critter:

Sometimes I get to do fun stuff at work like make these pictures.
The Utahraptor was discovered in Utah (a-ha!) in 1991. About 14 feet tall, it’s the biggest of the raptors found so far.

But we didn’t wind up using that picture, opting instead for this style…

Who doesn’t love Bigfoot? Nobody, right?

Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out so well for Bigfoot at Battle Mountain.

Since this project, I’ve been really wanting to make a picture of Bigfoot riding a Utahraptor. I may just have to stay late an evening or two…
