A very interesting article from the New York Times about theatrical gender bias…

And the 170 page thesis upon which the presentation discussed in the article was based: Opening the Curtain on Playwright Gender: An Integrated Economic Analysis of Discrimination in American Theater.

Discovery is a new project by members of Vampire Weekend and Ra Ra Riot. Vampire Weekend (at Neumo’s) was one of the best shows I saw in 2008.

Sometimes I get to do fun stuff at work like make these pictures.

The Utahraptor was discovered in Utah (a-ha!) in 1991. About 14 feet tall, it’s the biggest of the raptors found so far.

But we didn’t wind up using that picture, opting instead for this style…

Who doesn’t love Bigfoot? Nobody, right?

Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out so well for Bigfoot at Battle Mountain.

Since this project, I’ve been really wanting to make a picture of Bigfoot riding a Utahraptor. I may just have to stay late an evening or two…
