I’ve been a fan of the show “South Park” since the very first episode! So when my pal Lenny suggested we take a road trip out to South Park last weekend, I was all for it! I mean, it’s a long drive from Los Angeles, but with two people to share the driving, it’s not so bad. We left Thursday evening and drove through the night, arriving around noon on Friday.

First we took pictures at a famous local landmark.

Turns out, Lenny had dated Principal Victoria in college, so we were able to visit South Park Elementary and even take a picture in Mr. Garrison’s classroom.

We went for a hike later in the afternoon, but it gets dark very quickly in the mountains.

With the show being such a huge success, we should have expected that the town would become a bit “touristy.” But still, we had a great time at Cartmanland.

We did some evening cross-country skiing out by Starks Pond. Much fun!

Until Lenny got attacked by a mountain lion.

That really put a damper on things.
