A Christmas Song

12 20 2005

This was actually the very first Loaded Chamber Orchestra song with lyrics ever completed. It was never released because they wanted to make a very slight change to the lyrics. But you know, this version was finished way back in October of ‘03, and Anonymous Josh still hasn’t re-recorded the vocals. And it’s Christmas. So screw ‘em.

I can’t believe you sat on this for so long! Two years? Are you serious?

This is great! You should have put it out two weeks ago to really give it time to make the rounds before Christmas!

    I bow to your majesty.
But what was the lyric change in question, Mr. Tighty Lips? And did you really sit on this for two years? Are you insane or just stupid?
    Curiously,
    Bob

Gina: Yes, I really sat on this for two years (and two months…)
Lori: Yes, I found your spare keys. I was just waiting for you and Steve to be out of town…
Tim: The lyric change was substituting “Department Store” with “Jolly Old” in the thought that the department store would become apparent so therefore Jolly Old had more oomph. But the re-do never happened so I just chucked it out there as is. Oh, and in the last verse I wanted to change the line to “…ironically remembering a famous poem. It’s the night before Christmas and all through his flat…” Small changes, but not worth waiting another year for.
    Bob: I am insanely stupid.
